This online course is the first in a series of three five-lesson courses intended to allow you to acquire practical experience and specialisation in legal translation. The comprehensive curriculum was developed based on vast experience in legal translation, and organized covering almost all types of legal documents you, as a legal translator, may encounter.

Who is the course for?

This programme is for translation students or linguists who want to become professional legal translators, practicing professional legal translators who want to improve their skills, and individuals employed in the legal profession.

Prerequisites

Bachelor of Science or Arts in translation, language, business, or law, or equivalent.

Assessment

Most of the modules are assessed by a combination of coursework and exams. Others are assessed by projects which simulate real-world translation tasks.

Duration

This is an ongoing five lesson course. You may join the course at any time, but must complete the course within 5 weeks after admission.
