ATN-APTS provides
translation courses and training using two schemes:1. Paid distance education courses
2. Free online courses
We use two online modules to deliver the courses:
1. The Teacher's Module
2. The Academy CMS
An example of the teacher's module can be viewed at the following link:

What is the difference between "Paid Distance Education Courses" and "Free Online Courses"?
Free Online Courses:
With free online courses, courses and/or course lessons are contributed by teachers and posted online with public access. Anyone can read this "self-study" course material. When the member feels that he is ready to take the course test, he/she may contact our Member Services at
admin@arabtranslators.org. Prerequisites for taking a test are a Bachelor degree and active membership of ATN-APTS.
A test is administered "free of charge". If requested by the member, a certificate of completion is issued and sent by Aramex or DHL. The member will have to pay Aramex/DHL charges.
Distance Education Courses:
With distance education courses, you receive lessons, course material and assignments from the course teacher directly to your email address. The teacher corrects your assignments and gives you feedback either
as red-marked comments, or audio comments, or both. Your progress will also be closely monitored by the teacher.
A mini-website is created for each certified
instructor, where he/she posts course outlines,
instructions and details on how to join. Instructors
determine the fees they want to charge per trainee per
course.
Upon completion of the course, a test is administered, and a certificate of completion is issued and sent by Aramex or DHL. The trainee will have to pay course fees plus Aramex/DHL charges.
We welcome contributions by teachers under either scheme, and hope that this program will be useful to participants.
